my birthday!

Today is my birthday and I can't believe I am so old. I have major issues with my own birthday because I just don't like to make a big deal out of it. I normally don't even like people to know its my birthday! But this year was actually really fun, probably my most fun birthday yet. My mom was in town on Friday and we all went to eat at The Porch. Then on Saturday Nick and I went to brunch and ended up spending the rest of the day at one of my favorite bars in Dallas. I also got some really cute summer clothes. A white maxi dress from my mom and a Michelle Mason tank top and white blazer from Nick. Plus Nick's mom got me tickets to Miranda Lambert. I have been dying to see her in concert for years!
I have an abnormal obsession with Friday Night Lights and Tim Riggins, so Nick surprised me with this t-shirt too.

happy valentines day!

I love Valentine's day. Since I was little it has always been one of my favorite holidays. I love a holiday that is based around pink and red hearts. It's also my mom's birthday.
Happy Birthday Mom!
I love the anchor card Nick got me this year. For some reason he always gets me a Valentine's card with an animal on it. I really like it, but it's just so random because he isn't a huge animal person. I still have the polar bear card he got me freshman year of college.

Super cute flowers Nick's parents sent me yesterday.

baby shower

A few weeks ago Mallory, my mom, and I threw a baby shower for our longtime friends The Wilson's. We have known them for over 25 years and now Callie (Cope) is having a girl in July. I can't take good pictures yet, but here are a few.

We set some of the food up on my dining room table which is an old green door. It's really random and doesn't fit in my current apartment, but I love it.
Sprinkles cupcakes with pink baby bottles and a G for Gracie.
We made a cupcake tower with jars of candy watermelon balls.
We served pink champagne and lemonade in glass baby bottles.

The favors were dress cookies from The Flour Pot and pink baby bottles you could fill with candy

Mallory, Lauren, and me.
Party's over.
